The Mighty One, God the Lord, speaks;
He summons the world from sunrise to sunset.
From the beauty of His presence, His light shines forth,
calling all to hear His voice.
He comes, not in silence,
but in fire and storm,
His truth like a blazing light.
He calls to the heavens above,
and to the earth below,
gathering those who walk in His understanding.
“Listen, My people, and I will speak;
I will remind you of what is true.
I do not rebuke you for your offerings,
for your sacrifices are always before Me.
But do you think I need them?
Do I not own every creature in the forest,
every bird upon the mountains?
If I were hungry, would I tell you?
For the earth is Mine, and all it holds.
What I desire is not empty ritual,
but a heart that is grateful.
Offer thanks to Me and walk in trust,
call on Me in your time of trouble,
and I will rescue you,
so that you may honor My name.”
But to those who turn away, He says:
“You recite My words,
but do not walk in My ways.
You see dishonesty and join in,
you speak in cruelty and deceit.
Do you think I do not see?
Do you think I remain silent forever?
No, I will call all into the light,
so that truth may be known.”
Whoever walks in gratitude and love,
who honors Me with sincerity,
will see My salvation unfold before them.
