Let God arise,
and let His love shine forth,
let all that opposes Him fade
like mist before the sun.
As the wind carries away the chaff,
so shall all darkness flee before His presence.
But let the faithful rejoice in His goodness,
let them sing and dance with gladness!
Sing to God, lift up His name with joy,
for He rides upon the heavens with strength and mercy.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of the widowed,
this is God, who dwells in holiness.
He sets the lonely in families,
He leads the bound into freedom,
but the unyielding remain in a dry and weary land.
O God, when You went before Your people,
when You marched through the wilderness,
the earth trembled, the heavens poured rain,
for You, the God of Sinai, drew near.
You sent showers of blessing upon Your people,
You refreshed the weary with Your love.
The Lord gives His word,
and a great company proclaims His truth!
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth,
sing praises to the Lord!
He rides the ancient skies in majesty,
His voice thunders with power.
Acknowledge the strength of our God,
whose might is beyond measure,
whose glory fills the heavens and the earth.
You, O God, are awesome in Your sanctuary!
You give strength to Your people—
blessed be Your name forever!
