O Lord, stand by my side,
lift me up when troubles arise.

Be my strength and shield,
guiding me in Your love.

Those who seek harm,
let their own confusion turn them away.

Let the paths of greed and deceit
lead only to emptiness.

For they speak without kindness,
they stir strife without cause.

Yet You, O Lord, see the heart,
and You shine light on truth.

I have trusted in You,
I have walked in peace,
but still, shadows rise against me.

Yet I will not fear, for You are near,
my comfort in the storm.

Let Your love be my defender,
let Your mercy be my rescue.

Then I will rejoice in You, O Lord,
lifting my voice in praise!

My soul will proclaim:
"Who is like You, O Lord?

You lift the lowly,
You rescue the weary,
You fill the hearts of the faithful with joy."

Those who delight in kindness
will sing and be glad;
they will say always,
"The Lord is good,
His love endures forever!"

Awaken my heart, O Lord,
and let me praise You always.
