Hear us, O Shepherd of Your people,
You who lead us with steadfast love.

Shine forth from Your place of glory,
stir Your strength and come to our aid.

Restore us, O God of light,
let Your face shine upon us,
that we may walk in Your peace.

How long will sorrow be our portion?
How long will our prayers be met with silence?

You have fed us with tears,
You have given us sorrow to drink in full measure.

Those around us look on with scorn,
they say, "Where is their God?"

Restore us, O God of compassion,
let Your face shine upon us,
that we may walk in Your peace.

You brought forth a vine and planted it,
You cleared the land and let it take root.

It grew strong and spread its branches,
its shade covered the mountains,
its roots reached the waters deep.

But now it is broken and trampled,
wild beasts ravage what once flourished.

Return to us, O God of love,
look down with care upon 
what Your hands have planted.

Strengthen us once more,
that we may stand firm in Your presence.

Then we will turn to You with all our hearts,
we will call upon Your name in truth.

Restore us, O God of everlasting mercy,
let Your face shine upon us,
that we may walk in Your peace.
